SONGWRITER Alan Reid grew up in Ayr and is a direct descendant of Robert Burns plough guide at Mossgiel Farm, William Sloan, who tilled the soil with the Bard while he prepared the famous Kilmarnock Edition of his work.

Re-uniting after a highly successful appearance last year at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall, Reid is joined on stage for a captivating two hour set by acclaimed singers Ian Robertson and Verona Chard, and star bass-man Bill Craib.
